We already know that Samsung will announce the new Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones on February 25, and that the new models will be very similar to the current Galaxy S8 and S8+.

The latest information from South Korea, however, relates not only to the design but also to the prices of the new flagships. The Galaxy S9 will cost 950,000 South Korean Won and its bigger fellow – 990,000 Won.

For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S8 cost 935,000 Won, which is about $870. Keep in mind that Samsung traditionally sells its phones more expensive at home, so the Galaxy S9 is likely to cost around $800, and the more expensive Galaxy S9+ will be close to $900. Pre-orders in South Korea begin on March 2nd, which is only five days after Barcelona’s official premiere.

They will be released six days later, which means that the waiting period will be much shorter this time, as opposed to 2017 when the premiere was postponed by a month and start of the pre-orders took 3 weeks.
