And the last question about the upcoming flagship Galaxy S9 has been relieved after we officially learned that the handset will be presented at the MWC next month.

The confirmation came personally from the president of Samsung, DJ Koh who announced that we can expect the model at the end of February in Barcelona. This year, the World Mobile Congress will be held between February 26 and March 1, and most likely the event will be on February 25th.

His statement came during Samsung’s launch at CES 2018. Traditionally, in recent years, Samsung has been using the forum in the Spanish city (last year was rather an exception) to present its new flagship and now the ritual will be repeated.

In theory, it is even possible for the company to showcase the Galaxy S9 in a closed-door fashion to the larger mobile operators in Las Vegas. Such a look will surely be worthwhile – the rumors claim that Samsung Galaxy S9 (or Galaxy S9+) can become the world’s first smartphone with 512GB of built-in storage.

Alleged Specifications:
– 5.8in / 6.2in QHD+ Super AMOLED curved display (570ppi / 529ppi)
– Android 8.0 ‘O’
– Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (US) / Samsung Exynos (Europe)
– Cat 18 LTE support (1.2Gbps download speeds)
– Display embedded fingerprint scanner
– Dual rear-facing camera
– Bixby AI assistant with dedicated button
– USB-C, 3.5mm headphone jack

Price:
There’s no word yet on pricing for the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. If anything like the S8, expect handsets to fetch around $800 and $900 SIM-free.
