Recently, Razer released its long-awaited Razer Phone in the US, entering the market of the Android manufacturers. The company now announced that it released a new version of its Hammerhead earbuds, making them compatible with the current version of Razer Phone.

The most discussed feature of the handset is that it does not actually have a headphone jack. The new Hammerheads earphones solve this problem with a USB-C adapter. Except for the newly added USB-C adapter, the headset’s look very similar to that of the Hammerhead V2 Pro.

The design has been improved – the cable has remained flat and the earbuds have retained their excellent design. The three-button remote control lets you control the volume, answer or end calls, or change the song you are currently listening to.

The USB-C Hammerheads headphones are also equipped with a custom DAC that guarantees “purest and most accurate sound anywhere you are”. The same 10mm Pro V2 drivers are also back in the USB-C headphones, so the sound quality will be just as good if not a bit better.

However all this updates are also reflected in the price of headphones. Pro V2 cost $69.99, while the USB-C version costs $79.99 on the Razer website.
