Google is planning to present a smaller version of its Smart Home Speaker called ‘Home Mini’, and it will be announced on October 4th at a special event of the company.

Home Mini looks like an obvious alternative to Amazon’s Echo Dot. According to Droid Life, the Home Mini will cost $49 (compared to Home, which costs $129) and will be available in three colors when launched – Charcoal, Chalk, and Coral.

Other features include 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity as well as Bluetooth LE, though the listing doesn’t offer anything in the way of what the device would offer in terms of functionality.
