Samsung already plans at least a dozen updates to Android 8.0 Oreo for its high and mid-range models, but so far the company has not revealed much detail. Fortunately, if you own the new Galaxy S8 and S8+, it looks like you will not have to wait long for the official update.

According to SamMobile, Samsung is already working on Android 8 Oreo updates for its flagship Galaxy S8 and S8+.  The firmware version are G950FXXU1BQI1 for Galaxy S8 and G955FXXU1BQI1 respectively for Galaxy S8+. For now, there is no information on when Samsung is hoping to start this updates, but we think you can expect them in October-November.

It is almost certain that the third model to be updated is the Galaxy Note 8. We’ll just have to wait and see exactly when the updates arrive.

Other manufacturers like HTC and Huawei have already promised updates to Android 8 Oreo before the end of the year. More specifically, HTC has confirmed that HTC U11, HTC U Ultra and HTC 10 will get the update.
