Android 7.1.1 Nougat is likely to be the latest major software update which Nexus 6 will receive. Google has started the update process for months, but due to a number of software bugs, it was postponed for a certain period.

Now the owners of Nexus 6 will finally be able to enjoy the up-to-date Android Nougat. The update is about 370 megabytes in size and most likely includes one of the two latest security patches from (July or August).

To upgrade your phone to Android 7.1.1, your Nexus should have the basic stable version – 7.0. If you use the bugged Android 7.1.1, you need to return to the stable 7.0 software before upgrading.
