Almost everyday secrets of the iPhone 8 are revealed thanks to the leaked firmware of the Apple’s HomePod speaker. Today, software developer Steven Troughton-Smith “scours” new information about the OLED screen and the virtual Home Button on the iPhone 8.

According to Troughton-Smith the Home button will be able to:

The code further confirmed previous HomePod firmware findings that related to a “split” status bar on the device, with what’s expected to be camera and sensor hardware sitting between two virtual pieces of UI.

The iPhone 8 is expected to be presented at Apple’s usual September media event where the new phone models are unveiled. The new phone will reportedly be slightly larger than the iPhone 7 and sport an OLED display that runs nearly edge to edge making it as big as the iPhone 7 Plus screen.
