Apparently, Apple has begun to look more seriously on the social network for images Instagram, since today the company has an official profile on which publishing photos and videos made, of course, with iPhone.

In just a few hours, Apple’s Instagram profile gathered over 350,000 followers. Only a few videos and photos are uploaded in the profile and they are quite interesting.

Apple does not only use its own stuff, it also publishes pictures and videos of different artists. In the description of the image Apple includes quotes from photographers, which is another nice gesture.

Jeryl T. @j9ryl “Just because I’m colorblind doesn’t make photography a guessing game. There’s always a direction I want to go. A mood I want to create.” – 4. Britainy W. @lanadeathray “Owls are kinda like the ninjas of the bird world. Like, that mouse never saw it coming.” – 5. Koci H. @koci “I can walk outside, tap a piece of glass, and suddenly I’ve captured something. With another tap, I can share it with the entire world. If that’s not magic, I don’t know what is.”

Apple invites users to share their own iPhone photos in Instagram using the #ShotOniPhone tag. It should be noted that Apple’s attitude towards Instagram has changed over time.

Phil Schiller wiped Instagram company profile when the service expanded to Android users in 2012. Apparently now the company has decided that it is good to start using the platform again.

Instagram now has 700 million monthly active users across Apple and Android, so Schiller and company took right steps. Now it’s impossible to ignore the platform, particularly if you want to show off how good your phones’ cameras are.

While Apple already has Instagram accounts for several of its other products (such as Apple Music and iBooks), this is the first account dedicated exclusively to iPhone photography.
