Placing a second screen on the back of the smartphone is not new, but it is certainly a rare phenomenon. Chinese manufacturer Meizu intends to release its Pro 7 flagship model with a mini-color screen on its back.

If this are real images, not some kind of prototype, this should be one of the most bizarre phone on the market to date. A clear example of lack of ideas and innovations from their design and engineering team, something, we see more often in the world of smartphones.

The question here is whether this screen will have some practical functionality at all? Why you have to turn your phone to watch some notifications or photo previews on a much smaller screen, that’s a mystery.

The Meizu Pro 7 will have a second Display On Its Back

The Meizu Pro 7 is expected to be announced in July or August with the MediaTek Helio X30 processor or Samsung Exynos 8895 for the “Plus” version. It will come with two cameras on the back the first will be Sony’s 16-megapixel (IMX386) and the second 12-megapixel IMX286, again from Sony. If all the rumors are correct, PRO 7 will be a very interesting phone indeed.
