Based on Google Play Store data, sales of Pixel and Pixel XL flagships exceed one million units since them launch last fall. Officially, Google does not provide information on how phones are being released to the market, but the digital platform reveals how many times an application has been installed on an Android phone.

These figures are listed in the Google Play Store in a wide range. For example, one app could show between 50,000 to 100,000 installs while another might show between 1 million and 5 million.

For some time, Google listed 500,000 to 1,000,000 installations of the Pixel Launcher app. That figure has just changed to a range between 1 to 5 million installations of the app. This has taken place seven months after the Pixel and Pixel XL were released.

Obviously the increase in the downloads is the result of new owners of Pixel phones and so it is estimated that about a million phones from the series have reached their new owners. The Launcher is an application that is available exclusively to Pixel owners.

For comparison, only after 26 days in the market, Samsung has manage to sold five million Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ phone. It is expected that the LG G6 will reach two million units sold within six months of its premiere, which was earlier this year.

Although Pixel is not among the best selling Android models, is one of the best devices out there. However, Google clearly feels confident in it and is prepare new models for this autumn.
