Meizu is a relatively young company – they have been on the smartphone market for about 8 years, and for most of the time they has been trying to expand them business mostly in them native Chinese market. It seems, that with the new flagship Meizu Pro 7 they will bring a very interesting distinctive feature. And this is a second display on the back of the phone.

We’ve seen similar displays before, like on the Russian YotaPhone, but this time it looks much more strange than usual. It is not yet clear whether the screen will be touch sensitive and whether it will use e-ink technology. The answer to the second question is probably “yes,” but we can’t be sure until we see a real picture of the device.

It is likely that the second screen will be used to display useful information which is always available without having to activate phone front screen. As far as for the technical specifications the rumors talk about Exynos 8890 or Nelio P3 chipset, 5.2-inch or a 5.5-inch fullHD or QHD AMOLED display, along with 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

Meizu Pro 7 Design Will be something between Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7

As for OS we can expect Android 7.0 / 7.1 Nougat which will come pre-installed on the Meizu PRO 7, along with Meizu’s custom UI (Flyme OS). The Meizu PRO 7 is expected to land in the near future, but it is still not known when exactly, so stay tuned, more is on the way.
