Google Pixel smartphones will receive Android O in August
Google Pixel smartphones will be the first devices to get a software update to the latest version of the Android O. This is expected to happen in August. The information comes from David Ruddock editor of Android Police, who claims, the information come from a “reliable source.”
Of course, this information is not officially confirmed by Google. This means that the “release” of the update may slow down in time, although Android Police has generally proven with reliable sources.
The companies behind Nokia 6 and OnePlus 3 and 3T have already confirmed that Android O will certainly arrive as an update for their devices, but they did not specify exactly when that will happen.
Is worth to mention that Google generally releases the latest version of Android for its own handsets around September.
David Ruddock tweeted that the over-the-air update “will likely” be available in the first two weeks of August.
The official OTA to Android O for Pixel will likely drop in the first week or two of August. A bit earlier than Nexuses / Nougat last year.

He cites a “reliable source” for the info, but also advises a little caution on the release date as they are “always subject to change”.http://gizbrain.com/2017/06/08/google-pixel-receive-android-o-august/https://i2.wp.com/gizbrain.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Android-O.jpg?fit=1000%2C518https://i2.wp.com/gizbrain.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Android-O.jpg?fit=190%2C150GOOGLETECH NEWSAndroid,Android 8.0,Google,Google Pixel,Operating System,OS,smartphoneGoogle Pixel smartphones will be the first devices to get a software update to the latest version of the Android O.
