Microsoft unveils a new Surface Pro that comes with 7th generation Intel processors (Kaby Lake, m3, i5 and i7), an improved PixelSense display, LTE Advanced connectivity and battery life up to 13.5 hours in video playback, which is remarkable increase relative to the nine hours of the previous generation.

The m3 and i5 models also come without a cooling fan. Microsoft calls this “the lightest, the fastest and quietest Surface Pro ever to make.” The company also claims the device is 1.7 times faster than the iPad Pro.

While the device itself looks almost identical to the previous model, if we look closely we can see slightly rounded edges and new design for the hinge. Now the tablet can stand up to 165 degrees – or in “Studio Mode,” as Microsoft says.

There is also a new Surface Pen, whose sensitivity increases from 1024 levels of pressure to the remarkable 4096 levels. It also comes with tilt sensitivity along with 21ms latency. Here we have to mention, that Surface Pen it’s not included with the new model Surface Pro and if you need one, you have to pay $99.

The new Surface Pro comes with new Alcantara keyboard in three colors: platinum, cobalt blue and burgundy, however same as the Surface Pen you have to order it separately which will cost you extra $159.

Pre-orders start today, and prices start at $799 for the Intel Core m3 version with 128GB SSD and 4GB of RAM and goes up to $2,699 for Intel Core i7 with 1TB SSD with 16GB of RAM. Deliveries will take place from mid-June. Source: Microsoft
