The new flagship of the Taiwanese company HTC will have IP57 certification for dust and water resistance, but will not include the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Just a day we saw the first official photo of the device, which you can see here.

The key feature of HTC U (known as Ocean) are embedded touch sensors in a side frames that will allow users to control the phone by touching the frame.

The alleged specifications of the device include Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4/6 GB (RAM) memory and the choice between 64/128 GB built in. The capacity of the battery will be 3000 mAh. HTC U will work with Android Nougat 7.1 and Sense 9. The main camera will have a 12 MP Sony IMX362 sensor, and front – 16 MP Sony IMX351 sensor.

The screen is a 5.5-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. This will not be the first flagship of the Taiwanese which will not include 3.5 mm headphone jack. Last year, follow in the footsteps of Apple the smartphone HTC Bolt, designed for US operator Sprint also didn’t include 3.5 mm headphone jack.
