Russian Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Rogozin demonstrate new humanoid combat robot created in the country. He is called Fyodor (English FEDOR – Final Experimental Demonstration Object Research) a military robot that can shoot with both hands.

“We are not creating a Terminator, but artificial intelligence that will be of great practical significance in various fields.”

Mr Rogozin also posted a short clip showing of FEDOR in action, firing a pair of guns at a target board, alongside the message, “Russian fighting robots – guys with iron nature.”

The Kremlin hope to send the robot into space on a new ship called Federation, which is being built. He said it will have a “huge applied value for different spheres of life”. He added: “Combat robotics is a key to building intellectual machines. “This is applicable to areas including aviation and space.”
