From long time is not a secret, that Apple is working on a self-driving or at least software for self-driving cars. But this week, the company receive authorization from DMV in California, which refers to companies that can test self-driving cars.

This does not necessarily mean that Apple will release self-driving car tomorrow, but now the company can begin actual tests.

In October, Timothy D. Cook, Apple’s chief executive, told investors, “We are always looking at new things, and the car space in general is an area that it’s clear that there are a lot of technologies that will either become available or will be able to revolutionize the car experience.”

The document of DMV says that the permit covers three vehicles, Lexus RX450h 2015 model. This is the exact same car that Google used for its tests. We expect this year or next year to see the test car of Apple on the streets of California.
