On March 29, along with Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 +, we saw an interesting device that can transfer your Galaxy S8 smartphone into a PC… no, actually this gadget turns smartphones into PC. But then the Korean technology giant did not announce the price of DeX, which no doubt is important for users who would benefit from his functionality.

Today we learn that Samsung will sell DeX at a price of $149.99, according to the company’s website. Deliveries will start in “late April”, possibly matching the widespread of the new duo smartphones of the company.

This is not exactly an inexpensive gadget that will play a key role for the work of the ordinary users. We are not saying that no one would buy it, but the only real technology enthusiasts will pay such a sum to use its new Galaxy S8 as a working PC. Of course, we expect Samsung to offer Dex with various plans to boost its sales.

“Key collaborations with Microsoft and Adobe provide Samsung DeX compatibility with Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Adobe mobile apps including the Adobe Acrobat Reader and Lightroom mobile apps. These applications provide desktop-like functionality and a user interface previously unavailable from a smartphone.” Wrote the company.
