One of the interesting traditions in Android is naming each next version with a name of dessert. Following the alphabet so far we are on the letter N and logically there are already speculations what will be the next sweet name.

Interestingly, already this topic was mentioned in few posts from Google’s Vice President Hiroshi Lockheimer. Considering that with the letter ‘O’ has not so many popular desserts, Oreo is one of the logical conclusions, in a post on Twitter Lockheimer suggested just that.

He published a video with a chocolate biscuit, but to be the hysteria complete, a little later publish a photo of chocolate sticks Pocky with hashtag #2018.

Does this mean that now we have the names of the next two versions of Android? Hardly, considering that P is too early, not to mention that Oreo, and Pocky are trademarks and Google should be allowed to use them. However the company already done it with KitKat, so there is a precedent, but let the speculation begin!
