The obsession with new phones recently are measured with the registrations for their sales. They, of course, are not binding and in no way mean that will be transformed into real sales, but companies love to publish them as a sign of interest and self promotion.

Today we are talking about Meizu, which announced new smartphone M5s this Wednesday. Just a day later, the device already gained more than 4.25 million registrations that are a kind of requests for the upcoming flash sale on February 20.

Meizu M5s itself has 5.2-inch 2.5D IPS display with HD resolution and chipset Mediatek MT6753 octa-core Cortex-A53 processor. There are two versions respectively with 16GB built-in storage space and 32GB of storage. Their prices are the equivalent of $115 and $145, which explains why the interest in the model is so big.

In addition, Meizu M5s has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The device goes on sale next week, so then we’ll see if the interest in it will be cashed.
