A smartphone is only as good as its battery is powerful. An anonymous source close to Samsung, argues that the two revisions of the upcoming flagship Galaxy S8 (standard and Plus version) will be delivered respectively with 3,000 mAh and 3,500 mAh battery.

The interesting thing is that if it is true, it means that the new models will have less capacity per inch of screen compared to the 5.2-inch Galaxy S7 (3,000 mAh) and 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge (3,600 mAh).

Further calculations show, that Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will have the same battery capacity as the Galaxy Note 7. Of course, before potential buyers to panic because of the comparison, Samsung has already taken enough steps to not repeat the fiasco of the previous model.

The company is expected to announce Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus on March 29 instead of Mobile World Congress, as is tradition. However, there Samsung can show other devices, but only to selected audiences.
