In a recent study of The Eco Experts, related to the most toxic countries in the world, China ranks 20th place. But the Asian country invested a lot of efforts to shift to renewable sources of energy and in particular solar farms.

Today it is clear that China is already the largest producer of solar energy in the world. The National Energy Administration in the country revealed that solar energy production has increased by more than double in 2016, reaching 77.42 GW by the end of the year.

Compared with the population to countries such as Germany, Japan and the US, China can not be compared to them, but as the amount of energy produced, it is in the first position. Yet increased production of solar energy, it is just a drop in the ocean for China. This represents only one percent of the total energy that uses the country.

However, the National Energy Administration plans to add over 110 gigawatts by 2020. This will help China to increase the use of energy without fossil fuels from 11% currently to 20% by 2030.
