Galaxy S8 arrives on April 21 with infinity display and iris scanner
Samsung Galaxy S8 will arrive in two sizes, there will be edge-to-edge display and technology to scan the iris, reported The Guardian, citing its own sources familiar with.
The newspaper writes that the Galaxy S8 will be presented at the end of March, and sales will begin on April 21. This is a significant delay, given the initial plans of Samsung to show the new smartphone at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.
Both versions will have screens measuring “between 5 and 6 inches.” Code names of the devices include Dream and Dream 2, according to two sources. Again according to them, and the two versions will have curved on both sides display.
That “infinity” display will cover most of the smartphone front, almost no space will remains, which is not screen. Sources say that didn’t left place even for the Samsung logo on the front. It was also alleged that Samsung has moved fingerprint scanner at the back, and it has kept 3.5mm headphone jack.
Several sources have confirmed to the Guardian, that the technology to scan the iris of the Galaxy Note 7 will be available in Galaxy S8. Galaxy S8 will keep the “duo pixel” camera from last year’s flagship, but will significantly improve the picture quality and performance in low light and shutter speed.
Samsung is expected to include application for object recognition like Google Goggles. Samsung’s flagship will have a new processor, manufactured in 10nm technology. Recall that Qualcomm recently announced that the new Snapdragon 835 chip is manufactured in 10nm process.
The new gadget will have 64 GB of internal memory which can be increased using microSD cards up to 256 GB. The device will also bring USB-C and a new version of the Gear VR and Gear 360.
Galaxy S8 will have a new voice assistant, who will perform tasks such as object recognition. According to sources, Samsung is working with several partners to include additional sources of information about new assistant. The name is not confirmed but speculation are for “Bixby“, based on technology from Viv Labs startup acquired by the South Korean giant in October.http://gizbrain.com/2017/01/25/galaxy-s8-arrives-april-21-infinity-display-iris-scanner/https://i0.wp.com/gizbrain.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S8-concept.jpg?fit=980%2C566https://i0.wp.com/gizbrain.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S8-concept.jpg?fit=190%2C150RUMORSSAMSUNGTECH NEWSGalaxy,Galaxy S8,leaks,rumor,rumors,Samsung,smartphoneSamsung Galaxy S8 will arrive in two sizes, there will be edge-to-edge display and technology to scan the iris, reported The Guardian, citing its own sources familiar with.
