After a long period of testing, Samsung finally launched the official update to Android 7.0 Nougat for its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, announced the company itself. The process of update started on January 17, but as usual, users will have to wait a little more until the update appear on the network for all operators.

The new version of Android 7.0 brings long-awaited changes and improvements, such as faster speeds for downloading applications and system updates.

Quick Panel now has a cleaner look and icons are better organized to recognize them quickly. With S Finder in Quick Panel can immediately find what you are looking for on your phone or on the Internet. The notifications are grouped thematically to show the information more clearly and with Direct Reply can react immediately.

The dimensions of the windows are already formed easier for split-screen view. Besides the two windows there, there are five more pop-up window, so both have access to seven applications.

New is also the Performance Mode, which optimizes the behavior of the phone, activating one of four different modes. One of them, for example, increased battery life and speed while gaming regime provides useful features such as Game Launcher and Game Tools. With the High Performance you will get the most from your phone while Entertainment improves sound and graphics.

Finally, the function Samsung Pass, which is used for logging into the all platforms of the company, is now supported on Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.

The update to Android 7.0 will be released later for the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and S6 edge Plus, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Tab A with S Pen, Galaxy Tab S2 (LTE unlock), Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A8. Source: Samsung Newsroom
