iPhone 8 might have the technology to recognize faces and gestures
Face Detection and gestures can be one of the leading features of the new Apple iPhone in 2017. According to analyst Timothy Arcuri the next iPhone will have a new front sensor that will make possible these functions.
According to Arcuri, iPhone 8 Plus will include a 5.8-inch OLED display, wireless charging, “some form of facial recognition and gestures thanks to new laser sensor and an infrared sensor mounted near the front camera” and the Touch ID sensor will be built in the display.
Arcuri also predicted that latest iPhone upgrade will bring in a new record in sales of the Apple’s smartphone. Adding new sensors for facial and gesture recognition in Apple devices could potentially be used as a new level of security combined with fingerprint sensor Touch ID.
Expectations for Apple’s new iPhone 8 are great as this year marked ten years from the announcement of the first iPhone, which leads us to believe that the company has prepared something great.
