iFixit Teardown Samsung Galaxy S7 (video)
Experts in Teardown devices iFixit are ready to show you what lies beneath the shiny shell of the Samsung Galaxy S7. As with last year’s Galaxy S6, and this time was need a lot of heat to remove the glue to open the smartphone.
This year models have special waterproof layer, which allows for immersion in water (certificate IP68). Besides sealing the housing has a rubber seal on the 3.5 mm headphone jack, microphone and speaker.
What Samsung highlighted as “heat pipe”, is a flat copper strip, which weighs less than half a gram, and is connected to the metal casing of the phone. Lowest score 3 points from 10 which the phone receive is because the screen must be removed to change USB port; front and rear glass is sensitive to breakage and replacement of glass without breaking the screen is an almost impossible task. To replace the battery is also extremely difficult.
A good news is that many of the components are modular, which means they can be easily replaced.
