Apple is preparing a solution for the unexpected problem with the return of the date on your iPhone, which can lead to complete blockage.

The problem was first noticed by users on the social network Reddit, where users were invited to set dates for their phones to January 1, 1970, to discover hidden retro feature.

However, when the owners of 64-bit iOS 8 and iOS 9 devices do that awaits them nothing but bricked iPhone. Even entry into Recovery Mode does not save the situation.

Apple noticed the problem and wrote on their support page:

“If you changed the date to May 1970 or earlier and can’t restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Manually changing the date to May 1970 or earlier can prevent your iOS device from turning on after a restart. An upcoming software update will prevent this issue from affecting iOS devices. If you have this issue, contact Apple Support.”
