TSMC will be the only supplier of processors for the iPhone 7, Samsung out of the game
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) will be the only manufacturer of the next generation “A” chip, which Apple will use for this year’s flagship iPhone 7. According to a recent report published by Electronic Times.
Industry sources claim that TSMC has managed to win exclusive rights to manufacture A10. If the information is correct, then Samsung lost a major part of its revenues from the production of chips. Last year, A9 was manufactured by Samsung and TSMC, as the Koreans were responsible for 70% of the orders.
