Apple is working on a wireless charging technology for iPhone and iPad
According to a new report from Bloomberg, Apple is working on a wireless charging technology for its future iPhone and iPad devices and will be be used in the iPhone and iPad in 2017. The technology for wireless charging of Apple is developing with other partners and with it the devices can be charged from a distance, rather than to stay “fixed” on the charging dock station.
Today’s devices that use wireless inductive charging, such as Apple Watch, need to be in contact with the charging pad to accomplish the charging process. The new technology will allow the devices to charge faster and further away from the power source. But if Apple actually developed such a technology that enables wireless charging from a distance, it would be a big step in that direction.
