Oracle’s lawyer has revealed how much money earn Google from the Android, informs Bloomberg. The company from Mountain View, California, has generated revenue of $31 billion and a profit of $22 billion from its mobile operating system. Google says that information is confidential and should not be disclosed publicly.

“Google does not publicly allocate revenues or profits to Android separate and apart from Google’s general business,” the company said in the filing. “That non-public financial data is highly sensitive, and public disclosure could have significant negative effects on Google’s business.”

Oracle does not answer what methods were applied to obtain this information for Android. But if the total amount of $31 billion is correct, Google has earned less money from Android in its entire existence than Apple has earned from the sales of the iPhone in the fourth quarter of 2015 ($32.2 billion revenue).

Oracle sued Google in 2010 on charges of using a modified version of Java, which is owned by Oracle, to develop Android. The court ruled in favor of Oracle, but Google appealed. Last year, the Supreme Court refused to hear the final appeal of Google, leaving the decision in favor of Oracle. Now the question is how much Oracle will get from Google? The damages Oracle now seeks may exceed $1 billion since it expanded its claims to cover newer Android versions.
