UberChopper

From some time Uber is testing on-demand helicopter service, with the partnership with Airbus and now the company is considering to turn the idea into a permanent service. The Wall Street Journal writes that Uber the new collaboration is being tested at the Sundance Film Festival this week in Utah.

The price will be $3,000, which includes also the service Uber (by car). UberChopper, as the new on-demand service is being called, was first tested three years ago in New York, flying customers between Manhattan and the Hamptons.

Recall that Uber and the Airbus helicopters already have competition, at least on the territory of New York. The company Blade offers a place in helicopter for just $95, which is convenient for emergency meetings.

Blade gained significant popularity during the visit of Pope Francis in New York, when a number of key streets and boulevards were closed.
