Although Microsoft join the field of virtual reality later, the company managed to surprise everyone with HoloLens. Any developer who wants to test the glasses can do it in the central store of the company in New York.

There the developer community can experiment with different instruments, but the software giant continues to be evasive about some important details – when the glasses will be available to everyone, what will be them final price and exactly how much the battery will last.

In a video of the event in Tel Aviv Bruce Harris of Mucrosoft explains that HoloLens will work autonomously about 2.5 hours if the use is of the highest level. In normal use, the battery should be sufficient for about 5.5 hours. Since HoloLens are wireless device, the battery is tasked with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections necessary for universal Windows 10 applications.

Harris has some concerns related to the visual field of HoloLens. He compares the use of HoloLens by watching the 15-inch monitor of about 60 cm. distance. We should not forget that the devices for testing are prototypes, not a final product.

This means that both the battery life and the visual field will undergo improvements, but we should not expect to be drastic. Interestingly, a few glasses HoloLens can be connected to enable the wearer to observe the same object. Microsoft HoloLens will be available to developers in the coming months, and the price is $3,000.
