Over 210,000 People Signed a petition against the removal of the 3.5 mm jack in the next iPhone
For some time we are writing about Apple’s plans to move to Lightning standard headphones and to abandon the 3.5 mm audio jack that every iPhone features. This would not be particularly surprising, this will allow Apple to make the phone thinner – nearly over one millimeter thinner than the iPhone 6s.
At the network appears PETITION urging the company not to make such a move, and commented “Apple is about to rip off every one of its customers. Again”. For a short period of time it was signed by over 210,000 people. According to more sources, the decision has already been taken. Apple announced MFi protocol Lightning audio headset in 2015 and on the market already has several models.
The main reason for the decision, however, is associated with more widespread use of wireless headphones, whose prices continue to fall. According to some sources, Apple is working on its own technology to suppress background noise that will require Lightning connectivity.
