Parrot DISCO – Drone Prototype Flights – CES 2016 (video)
At CES 2016 in Las Vegas, Parrot unveiled a new drone with stealth design – Parrot Disco can fly 45 minutes and at a speed of 80 km/h. The hull is in delta wing and resembles some military drones of DARPA.
With this structure and light weight – about 700 grams with a wingspan of one meter – allowing the drone to develop high speed – up to 80 km/h. Unlike competitors, Parrot Disco has more autonomy. Drones can stay in the air up to 45 minutes and land in automatic mode.
Parrot Disco can take-off just by thrown in the air, thanks to his 14-megapixel camera drone makes FulHD video. The drone able to fly both in a predefined route and to be managed directly by the user, while transmitting a video stream in real time.
Another very interesting feature is the ability to watch the flight through a virtual reality glasses. Parrot Disco is equipped with a camera system for image stabilization, which are the same as quadcopter Parrot Bebop 2. Disco is expected on the market this year, and its price has not been announced.
