Oculus Touch controllers were postponed to the second half of 2016
The company Oculus recently announced that “On the path to perfecting Touch, we’ve decided that we need more time before release, and we’ll now be shipping Touch in the second half of 2016”. Pre-orders will start “a few months prior to launch”.
This will not affect the release of virtual reality glasses Rift, which are still expected in the first quarter of 2016 Oculus said pre-orders for Rift will be open “very soon.” Oculus Touch controllers were surprisingly announced in mid-2015 and was first shown at this year’s event for the Games E3. While we have seen the final version of the Rift, Touch controllers are still only in prototype phase, i.e. design is not final.
“On Touch hardware, we’ve made significant advances in ergonomics, and we’re implementing many changes that make Touch even more comfortable, reliable, and natural. We’re also implementing changes that improve hand pose recognition.” – Says Oculus. When Touch controllers hit the market, the company promises “a huge amount of innovative content,” which will accompany them.http://gizbrain.com/2016/01/02/oculus-touch-controllers-were-postponed-to-the-second-half-of-2016/https://i2.wp.com/gizbrain.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oculus-touch-vr-controller-with-rift.jpg?fit=760%2C428https://i2.wp.com/gizbrain.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oculus-touch-vr-controller-with-rift.jpg?fit=190%2C150FACEBOOKTECH NEWSOculus Rift, virtual reality,VRThe company Oculus recently announced that 'On the path to perfecting Touch, we’ve decided that we need more time before release, and we’ll now be shipping Touch in the second half of 2016'.
