Google has hired The Tesla Engineer Responsible of the Autopilot
Google hired Robert Rose – the engineer behind the autopilot of Tesla. The change of position become clear from the LinkedIn profile of Rose. He was in office in Tesla for about half a year and work on opportunities for autonomous management and movement of the steering wheel. Rose has extensive experience as an engineer for SpaceX, where he was director of software development for control of flights.
The new tasks of Rose at Google are not yet clear, but it probably will work on the self driving car of the company. His official position is a software engineer for Google Robotics – a title that the company used before members of the team working on vehicles. Previous experience of Rose certainly will help him work on cars – except in Tesla and SpaceX, he worked for Ford and Hyundai America, where he was head of the development of the self driving cars.
