Deric-White-Apple

British citizen managed to sue Apple for deleted photos and contacts from his iPhone, reports The Sun. Deric White from the UK started a lawsuit against Apple, after having brought the phone in the Apple Store for repair, but has not made a backup of the device.
Apple has fixed up his phone, but when he received, he found that all his contacts and photos have been deleted.

Standard practice workshops to return the device to factory settings after repairs, as users are advised to make a backup of them data. It seems, however, the British court agreed with Mr. White and has ordered Apple to pay him £1,200 compensation.

“Apple vandalised my phone. They knew they had done it and just sent me on my way like an imbecile. They slapped me across the head and treated me like an idiot. That insult is still with me today. Why should I let someone treat me like this and then walk away?”

Along with £1,200 damages, Judge Fine also awarded Mr White costs of £773 which must be paid within 14 days.
