Swedish designer Love Hultén is known of his extravagant replica of retro devices that often combine emulators of old games with exquisite wooden hulls. Most of the devices created by him, are hand made, and the latest work of the designer is no exception. This pretty box you is called Pixel Vision is perhaps the most elegant portable console that you can have. The device emulates classic consoles like NES, Atari 2600 and the Game Boy.

The capacity of the Pixel Vision is 10,000 games and you can upload them to the device via USB. Battery life is 8 hours, and the wooden hull design mimics the Game Boy SP. Because is handmade is quite slow and laborious to be made, Hultén will create a total of 520 devices. Both versions of Pixel Vision can be ordered at Kickstarter, as long as you’re fast enough. For $461 you can get a basic version with walnut shell and vinyl interior surfaces. If you want the special edition Pearl with black components and brass buttons, you will have to pay $807. Deliveries of the first ready devices will begin in February next year.
