Google is preparing to launch Play Store in China in early 2016
According to sources of Reuters – Google intends to make Play Store available for their Chinese customers in early 2016. This will be a big step for Alphabet, after earlier service was unavailable in this region because of the refusal of self-censorship of search results.
Google will comply with Chinese law on content filtering, as well as the requirement not to store the data out of the country. The company definitely went through many difficulties to penetrate on that market, dominated by competing platforms. Rumors suggest that Google Play Store will be launched in the country after the Chinese New Year in February.
