Parrot introduced its latest drone -Parrot Bebop 2. As the name suggests, it is the successor of the Bebop, but the differences between the two drone is not fundamental. The second generation comes with improvements in many areas, but not surprising features. The device again has a 14-megapixel camera with the maximum resolution of captured video is 1080p. Like its predecessor, Bebop 2 has fisheye lens at the front. According to many users, this positioning is inappropriate for the aircraft, which often falls or hitting top, but Parrot does not seem to be worried about.

Bebop 2 has two external control module fields, which increases the scope of the drone to an impressive two kilometers. With a single charge you can make a flight lasting 25 minutes, which is a significant improvement over the first Bebop drone 12 minutes. The compartment, which holds the battery has also been improved – instead of the current strip of Velcro that allows easy drop the battery compartment is now much more stable.

Parrot’s engineers have managed to significantly reduce the weight of the drone, eliminating moving components. This makes it more resistant to shocks, but sacrifice some features. For this reason Bebop 2 has only a software image stabilization on its camera. The price of the drone is $549 for the standard model and $799 for a package that includes additional control module. The device will be available on December 14.
