During the teardown of the iPad Pro, iFixit found that the tablet supports USB 3.0, but not the way we expected. According to technicians Lightning port, which previously maintained speeds comparable to the second version of USB, already has the required number of components to handle USB 3.0 speeds of about 5Gbps. The news has not been confirmed by Apple.

The inclusion of high-speed wired interface in iPad Pro is logical, given that the device should be used by people in the creative industry as a videographer and photographers. To be able to use the fastest standard, however, Apple should be offering an adapter. As we know for now there is no such kind adapter.
