Uber will use Maps and Navigation from TomTom
Uber said it would start using maps and navigation information provided by TomTom. The two companies signed a long-term partnership that gives drivers of Uber access to information about traffic and best routes. The value of the transaction is not known, and the decision to work together was taken after Uber unsuccessfully tried to buy Here Maps. The company offered the Nokia $3 billion for desired by many mapping service, which later became owned by a consortium of German automakers.
