Shift5

The idea of ​​modular smartphone becomes more popular whit the Project Ara of Google and PuzzlePhone. One small German company called Shift announced that it will begin offering its own modular smartphone. It will be called Shift 5+.

This will be a different product than we’ve seen. Shift 5+ will even let you choose between Windows 10 Mobile operating system and Android 5.1 Lollipop. It will also receive options to replace the battery, change the screen in case if break, change of memory and other important components that have not yet been disclosed.

The features of Shift 5+ will not become final until December, but alleged specs include eight core processor from Qualcomm, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 5-inch IPS display, 13-megapixel rear camera plus a 5-megapixel front. The battery will have a capacity between 2500 mAh and 3000 mAh. The price will start from €399 euros and deliveries of Shift 5+ are scheduled for Q3 of 2016.
