As if accustomed to hearing about malware or security threats only on Android, although there is little evidence of real danger to users outside Russia or China, which are used online stores to third parties. In a new report by Checkmark claim that the majority of vulnerabilities in applications exist in iOS programs.

Traditionally it is assumed that because Apple has strict requirements for uploading applications in the App Store, the platform is generally safe, but security researchers from Checkmarx and AppSec Labs say that this is not necessarily true.

In their report states that 40 percent of vulnerabilities in iOS apps are critical or high level of risk compared with 36 percent for Android. The report did not give an exact figure, but said that on average a mobile application has nine vulnerabilities and iOS apps have had more applications from Android.

Leakage of personal information is the most common risk – 27 percent of all deficiencies. Problems with ID authentication and authorization constitute 23 percent of total deficiencies found.
