Apple-WWDC-2015-iOS-9

iOS 9 quickly became the most popular version of the operating system – in the first 24 hours after its official debut, it was 12% of all compatible devices. Within a few days, the number increased to 50%. This initial wave of updates gradually decreased, as currently 61% of all iOS devices use the latest version. This number coincides with the forecast of Phil Schiller, who said that iOS 9 will be “download by more users than any other version in the history of Apple”.

In comparison, iOS 8 was needed twice as much time to reach the same percentage of users. Soon we can expect another jump in the number of devices that are frequently updated to iOS 9. The new version iOS 9.1 includes support for 150 new Emoji symbols and many stability improvement.
