If you feel ready to get smart watch, but you are not attracted to the “standard” functions for viewing notifications from your smartphone, or sending messages, but you want to use the fitness functions, then what you need are new smart watches of Garmin.
This week Garmin announced three new smart watches – Forerunner 630, 235 and 230. In the first place these smart watches will show you the time, their OS can handle the usual notifications as any other smart watch. They are fully functional GPS watches that can help you in cycling, running, fitness training, etc.
Forerunner 630 is more capable and expensive model, starting from $399.99. Forerunner 235 and 230 are virtually the same watches, but 235 offers an optical sensor for heart rate, which can be found in Apple Watch. Forerunner 230 relies on the strap to measure heart rate, which is optional and not included in the kit. The prices of the two models are between $249 and $329.
Garmin watches don’t work with Android Wear, nor any other OS, you know, but they can connect to your iOS and Android phone over the Garmin app. The batteries in the Forerunner 630 and 230 withstand 16 hours on a single charge with included GPS. In Forerunner 235 battery lasts less than 11 hours with included GPS.
