The small startup Nextbit got his first major support from the corporate segment. Verizon announced that it will sell the first model, Robin, for $349 usd in CDMA and GSM versions. The first 300 units will be offered at a price of $299 usd.

The core team of Nextbit consists of former engineers and designers from Apple, HTC and Google. Besides the alternative design, hardware and different Android interface we notice immediately, Robin differs from all other smartphones on the market with cloud models for data storage. The software automatically detects when and which files to transfer to the cloud, preserving free local memory for those who use most often. On back side of the phone even has an indicator that shows exactly when synchronizes the smartphone with the cloud.
