Apple Presented the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Pencil and Keyboard
Tonight, Apple introduced the new iPad Pro, which CEO Tim Cook announced by “biggest news for the iPad than iPad”. Unsurprisingly, as speculated in recent weeks, the tablet has a 12.9-inch display with a resolution of 2732 × 2048, offering 5.6 million pixels. Apple uses the same technology from iMac with Retina 5K display, and the screen itself will save on battery life. It should last up to 10 hours, and with the ability to edit three streaming of 4K video simultaneously.
For iPad Pro Apple uses new A9X processor, which the company claims is 1.8 times faster than the previous generation. “It is 80% faster than laptops of the past 12 months. A graphics is at 90% faster than them,” said Phil Schiller.
iPad Pro comes with four audio system speakers, as iOS 9 will balance the sound depending on how you hold the tablet. The new device has a thickness of only 6.9 mm, and weighs 1.57 pounds, despite the presence of such a large display. iPad Pro comes with Touch ID, and support for LTE, main camera is 8 megapixel iSight.
iPad Pro can work with two new accessories – Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil. The tablet will connect magnetic keyboard through a new port on one side (three rounds, providing energy and data from it). iOS 9 would automatically recognize it. Stylus, on the other hand, will detect the strength, position and inclination of the pen, and this is possible thanks to the sensors sensitivity to it. Stylus can be recharged by Lightning connector directly from the iPad Pro. The capabilities of Apple Pencil you can see in the video below.
Apple surprise everyone when invited on stage and Microsoft for demonstration of the new version of Office for iOS, the applications will maintain and Apple Pencil. That’s not all. We saw a demo of Adobe’s multiple applications for tablets, including the new Adobe Photoshop Fix for the mobile operating system of Apple. You quickly and easily retouch images and have built by Adobe and facial recognition, allowing retouching. Adobe Sketch can also work with Apple Pencil, supporting sensitivity to pressure and multitasking with other iOS 9 applications.
The bad news is that Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil will be available separately for $169 and $99 dollars. iPad Pro will be on the market in November with availability in three colors – silver, gold and gray Astro. A 32GB model will cost $799, 128GB $949 usd. The LTE version with 128GB is priced at $1079 usd.
