Runtastic Moment is a new not so smart watch that track your fitness activities
Runtastic, creators of mobile health and fitness app that was recently acquired by Adidas, presented a new analog watch called Runtastic Moment, which will monitor your activity: steps and distance, calories burned, sleep cycles and set goals. Runtastic Moment is a watch almost like any other – it is a comfortable and stylish, but unlike some other smart watches has water resistance to 90 meters, which means that you can wear it and while swimming. From Runtastic say that in the future he will be able to track your swimming.
Another important advantage in Runtastic Moment is the battery life. Runtastic calculated that the watch should last for about six months with a standard watch battery. The connection and data exchange with Runtastic app for iOS and Android is by Bluetooth LE. Runtastic Moment comes in a few different versions that are offered at different prices. “Fun” and “Basic” options come with stainless steel and silicone chains and cost $130 usd as Basic version has slightly larger watch face. “Elite” and “Classic” cost $180 usd and have leather chains, the Classic version is available with color casing in silver, gold and rose gold.
This is not the first hardware product from Runtastic, as the company already sells its fitness tracker Orbit, priced at $119. It is expected the new version of Orbit later this year to include monitoring of heart rate. Also Runtastic Moment is not the only analog watch, which includes some element of tracking activity. Recall the Swiss watches Withings Activite and Withings Pop.
