Windows-10-Mobile

We informed you that smartphones with Windows 10 will require a minimum of 8GB of internal memory, and now we understand new details about the company’s mobile platform. From Microsoft decided to answer to their users what is the main reason for this requirement to upgrade the new operating system. According to official data, the reason for this is that the system files on Windows 10 smartphones will occupy about 5GB space when is installed on the device.

This mean, that if your smartphone has 8GB storage, you’ll have only 3GB, to save multimedia files. Good to know that it is not possible to install the operating system on the microSD card and then run it from there. That’s why smartphones that have 4GB RAM will not fall into the list of models that will receive the mobile version of Windows 10.

Of course there remains the possibility Microsoft to develop a lighter version of Windows 10 mobile but probably will not include all the new features. If your smartphone has 32GB of memory it will be able to use approximately 25GB of them, while the 16GB configurations this value is 10GB. We remind you that the mobile version of Windows 10 will be available to all users from October.
