Amazon no longer accepts Flash ads
Flash can still be found in some parts of the network, but its use decreased faster. After Apple announced that it will not support Flash in iOS, including the iPad, the company received a lot of criticism, but the pace has gradually been followed by many others. Today Flash is turned off by default in all major browsers, mostly to save system resources and battery life in notebooks and tablets and of course in security reasons.
Recently Jeff Bezos and company announced that Amazon will no longer accept Flash ads. All advertisers will have to switch to HTML content, if not yet done so. While seemingly small way, this is an important nail in the coffin of Flash, as the technology is used today mostly for advertising content, but Amazon has a key platform in this business, especially in North America.
